Xelleration attends Microsoft Inspire 2017 to partake in the biggest change in over a decade

July 20, 2017 – The Xelleration team attended Microsoft Inspire, the annual world-wide partner conference, in Washington, D.C. from Sunday, July 9, 2017 to Thursday, July 13, 2017.  Partners from 140 countries totaling more than 16,000 attendees joined the event centralized around the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. 

Major highlights from the conference include the announcement of One Commercial Partner by Ron Huddleston, Microsoft corporate vice president and head of the newly created One Commercial Partner organization.  In an effort to remain a partner-led company and empower its partner ecosystem to thrive, Microsoft is bringing together all partner-focused teams, resources and expertise into one group.

Other highlights include focusing all of Microsoft’s initiatives into four solution areas: modern workplace; business applications; applications and infrastructure; data and artificial intelligence (AI).  To enable digital transformation in those areas, the process will include four key pillars: empower your employees; engage your customers; optimize your operations; transform your product. 

Launching the biggest change in their sales model in over a decade, Microsoft is reorganizing to put partners and customers first.  Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft states, “The ability for us as a partner-led company and partner ecosystem to continuously welcome new partners and help them thrive as part of this community is what defines us.”

 

In addition to attending the keynote sessions, educational sessions, and various networking events, Xelleration co-hosted a happy hour with long-time partner, Prosum.  The event was held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Root Cellar Whiskey Bar located inside the W hotel.  Many of Microsoft’s partner-focused teams were in attendance, along with fellow Microsoft partners.
